Mestre Sala and Porta Bandeira

We are so proud to announce Arian and Gillian as our Mestre Sala and Porta Bandeira.

These are such special roles for our new Beleza School of Samba and we welcome them with all our heart. We look forward to them carrying our flag to all our future shows and events and being the soul of our school.

Mestre Sala and Porta Bandeira

Present and defend the sacred pavilion of the school, manifest themselves dancing in a slight courting like the volley of a hummingbird around the rose.

The noble conduct of both is the pure expression of gallantry, marked with enchantment, grace, lightness and gentleness. The noble conduct of the couple is at all times the same as the king and queen that represents their people and family emblem - it is the highest honour that the School of Samba can offer a person.

The ceremony was so beautiful and emotional at such an amazing setting - bringing together our dearest friends at one of the most iconic places in Brighton.

Arian, welcome on board - welcome to our family!

Gill, there are not words to describe how proud we are of you  - you are amazing and we can't wait to see you shine and represent the school.

With our beautiful new flag and our Mestre Sala and Porta Bandeira in place - bring on the Brighton Fringe!

Lots of love,

The directors
